Emergenetics

Developed by Dr Geil Browning Ph.D. as a series of instruments that provide useful information on thinking and behaviour attributes, emergenetics is now a powerful tool available to all, and you can access it here!

emergenetics is based on research that indicates:

individuals have inborn traits to act and think in certain ways
these traits are modified and shaped as people interact with their surroundings
the combination of experiences and genetics intertwine to form some commonly recognisable
patterns of personality traits

There are seven basic sets of attributes described by emergenetics:
Four ways of thinking and three ways of behaving.

The four Thinking Attributes are:
Analytical preferences (Blue)
Structural preferences (Green)
Social preferences (Red)
Conceptual preferences (Yellow)
The three Behavioral Attributes (Purple) are:
Expressiveness behaviour
Assertiveness behaviour
Flexibility behaviour
On the right is an example of an emergenetics Profile.
emergenetics is based on the latest brain research as well as extensive data from over 275,000 adults. The emergenetics Questionnaire is a reliable, valid, and proven test that provides invaluable insight into each individual’s natural strengths and helps everyone make the best of his or her Thinking and Behavioral Attributes.

emergenetics is a self-descriptive test, meaning you answer a series of questions about yourself. Your results are compared against group norms by gender, allowing you to compare yourself to the population of women or men at large.

We re-norm our data by gender every two years to make sure we are keeping current.
