Wondering how to engage your child meaningfully during the long
holidays? Look no further! SHS is a program specially planned for children from
the age of 5 to 12, to provide them with a holistic, enriching and fun learning
experience during their year-end holidays. |
|
|
|
This annual event is organized by Shalom Church and has been held in ACS Independent
(Dover Road) for more than 10 years. Each year, there are about 120 children who
enrolled for the event. The program is planned and run by experienced and committed
volunteers from the church, including full time school teachers as well as professionals
from other fields of work.

|
|
It is a subsidized event and the fees of $30 per child include lunch, tea-breaks
and materials for all 3 days. The children are divided into classes according to
their age group. Each class (max. of 20 children per class) is taken care of by
1 teacher and at least 3 assistants. |

Through the years, many positive responses have been received
from parents who sent their children for this program. The children enjoyed themselves
tremendously and at the same time learnt many precious lessons.
The parents were also very satisfied with the quality of the program and appreciative
of the care given to the children. Many of the children eagerly look forward to
this annual event and return each year to participate in this event.
